5 Traditional German Christmas Cookies

  1. Lebkuchen (German Gingerbread)

Lebkuchen are soft, moist gingerbread cookies that first originated in Franconia, Germany in the late 13th century, curated by a group of monks who worked hard to perfect the recipe. These cookies later grew in fame in Nuremberg, Germany due to the fact that this city lay on a trade route and therefore had more access to spices, including ginger.
